Heavenly Father, we lift our hearts and prayers to you.

Give peace in the world for only in you can we live in safety. Let your way be known upon the earth.

We remember our men and women in military duty at home and abroad. Give them courage to face the perils that beset them.

We pray for all who govern and hold authority in our land.

Grant to the President and our Governor wisdom and strength to know and do your will.

Bless our Congress and Legislators that they may enact laws which are pleasing to you.

Bless our Judges and Officers of the courts with understanding and integrity, that human rights may be safeguarded and justice served.

Teach our people to rely on your strength and to accept their responsibilities. We lift up to you those who suffer want and anxiety from lack of work.

May we elect trustworthy leaders and make wise decisions that the rights of all may be protected and our nation be enabled to fulfill your purposes.

May we serve you faithfully in our generation and honor your holy Name through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
